“Umberto Distefano brings more than 15 years of experience across factoring and credit insurance to his work at National Business Capital. Prior to joining NBC, he spent five years in factoring after more than a decade in credit insurance, giving him a deep understanding of risk, cash flow dynamics, and how capital supports business continuity and growth. He studied at the University of Baltimore School of Business and is an active member of TMA and SFNet.
What sets Umberto apart is his people-first mindset. He believes the strength of NBC lies in its team, and he thrives in an environment built on collaboration, trust, and shared success. Outside of work, Umberto enjoys staying active and spending time on the golf course. Italy stands out as a favorite travel destination, and he’s a fan of Scarface. A dedicated Baltimore Ravens supporter, Umberto lives by the mantra, “Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up.” When he’s tuning in, he enjoys listening to the Joe Rogan Experience.”
